RFK Racing driver Chris Buescher out-dueled the competition on the
race’s final lap reclaim the lead and secure his first NASCAR Cup
Series® victory of the 2024 season at the Watkins Glen International
road course.
Buescher lost the lead on an overtime restart but kept pace behind
the leader for most of the final lap. The driver of the No. 17
BuildSubmarines.com Ford Mustang was able to take advantage of a bobble
by the leader that led to some bumper-and door-banging action through
the final turns. Buescher was able to edge out to a lead and crossed
beneath the checkered flag first for his sixth career NASCAR Cup Series®
win.
